'Troll Bridge' and 'Theatre of Cruelty' can be found in the shorter fiction collection, 'A Blink Of The Screen'. Terry Pratchett was a big part of my life in the nineties; well, Christmas' anyway where all I wanted to do was read the latest 'Discworld' book (the 'Christmas afternoon James Bond film' never even came close). As time went on, I gradually stopped reading the series (it became more about holding a mirror up to the real world and that wasn't for me) but I've still got a soft spot for the early books and will go back for a re-read every now and then. Anything with Vimes or Rincewind in it mostly ;o) How about you? I knew there were 'Discworld' short stories, out in the wild, but have only ever come across 'The Sea and Little Fishes' in one of the 'Legends' collections. So when I saw that 'A Blink of the Screen' had a section just for 'Discworld' short stories in it, I was all over it...

(Standard disclaimers apply of course, this week was going to be busy enough as it was but I'm on a two day training course as well, happy days...) I used to make big plans for a months reading but ended up just getting tired of making an idiot of myself on a monthly basis . A week's reading though...? I think I could handle that, especially with a ready made excuse to hand (this week really is going to be a nightmare...) Let me introduce you to this week's reading; a couple of books half finished and a couple waiting in reserve in case I need them... I'm about halfway through 'Clickers Never Die' and it's my main reading focus for the week because it is bloody marvellous reading. If you like the 'Clickers' books then you're going to love this but it's also a good place to jump on board the series. It looks like once again, I've got myself in a state about work this week and I'm still in that moment, even though work is most definitely not going to be a thing until Monday morning... For what it's worth, the Graeme of several years ago is looking on and thinking 'what the hell have I become...?' Hopefully better at keeping a job 'past Graeme'... ;o) Sleep will happen at some point, just not right now so in the meantime, why don't we take a look at the books that have followed me home this week... Not too many books this time round, mostly because payday is still a way off but also because I really want to make a dent in what's in the flat first. Well, this week hasn't been the best for finishing books (although I am reading 'Clickers Never Die' and it is bloody brilliant, more on that another time though...) but I haven't done too badly as far as finishing TV shows goes. Look, in an ideal world I'd be making a dent in the TBR pile but this is not an ideal world, not this week, so I'll take what I can get in the meantime... ;o) I've finally finished 'Slasher: Guilty Party' and 'Moon Knight' as well. Now, I've finally watched every season of 'Slasher', with 'Solstice' finally in the bag :o) I'm notoriously late to these shows so I'm fairly certain that you've probably seen 'Slasher' already but if you haven't then you really should (I'm not going to go into the whys, you can just read my 'Slasher' posts over Here ). And with that said, lets take a look at 'Slasher: Solstice'... Kit Jennings, a   sex  and  drug addict...

‘Moon Knight’ was the series that I came into knowing least about but now it’s done and it’s probably the series that I want to see continue the most. Are you the same? A the same time, it’s also the series where I’ve been the worst at watching it on time and then blogging about it afterwards.
