What I'll be reading in May... (fingers crossed)

The merry month May has kind of crept on me and it really shouldn't have done seeing as my eldest daughter turned 11 today. No I didn't forget (she kept reminding us...) and yep, she had a good one :o) It just doesn't feel like I was quite done with April which to be fair, was more to do with work than anything else... That's going better these days, there's just loads to get done. I'll tell you what I did get done though... Loads of reading, that's what I got done :o)

This time a month ago, I was full of good intentions about all the books that I wanted to read over April. To be fair, I didn't do too badly; I certainly did better than I did in March... From that top picture (all the shorter books), April saw me read,

'Phobia' - Guy N. Smith (Review to come)

'Wolfsbane' - Guy Haley

'Muzzle Blast' - Bruno Rossi

'The Sailor on the Seas of Fate' - Michael Moorcock

'Legion of the Damned' - Sven Hassel

And I'm reading the 'Conan' movie novelization as we speak :o) Not bad going then, especially with everything else happening at the same time. On the other hand though, I didn't touch any of the 'bigger books' from the second photo and that's just the way it went last month; I wanted to read them but I'm not going to beat myself up for not having managed it. What would be the point in that? :o) Nope, I'm just going to try and read them this month instead.

Talking of which then, have a look at the books that I'm going to try and read in May. Other books will, of course, be read but these are the ones that I want to finally polish off...

I've tried to mix things up a little bit this time round, I love a bit of horror but want to read some different stuff, as well, this month. All the usual suspects are here though... The 'Elric Re-Read' will continue and I need to finish the 'Corum' books at some point. 'Stiletto' is the last 'Sharpshooter' book that I own so I'll round things off there as well. Of course there's some Guy N. Smith but I'll be going way out of my comfort zone with some Zane Grey and am aiming to read either 'The Broken Sword' or 'The King of Elfland's Daughter' (I dont think I'll get through both).

No change here though. I'll definitely be reading 'Carpe Jugulum' and am hoping to read one of 'Northern Wrath' or 'The Pale Horseman'. I'd love to polish off both but suspect that may be beyond me this month... ;o)

And that's my reading sorted for the next month (with comic books and short stories filling in the gaps). Any books here that you'd like me to tackle first?
