Shelfie Time - 'The Forgotten Shelf...'
Well, not exactly forgotten, it's right at the corner of my eye whenever I'm working at my desk :o) But... It's also a shelf that's in a corner of my living room, just behind my TV, and is a little trickier to get to. If a book ends up on this shelf then, I'm a lot less likely to get to it than others. So, a kind of 'Forgotten Shelf' then but, my blog title sounds better ;o)
A bookshelf is still a bookshelf though, forgotten or not, and just as deserving as a post here as the more accessible bookshelves that I've featured over the years. And that's where this post comes in. Lets take a look at 'The Forgotten Shelf' and see what's what...
'Deathtrap Dungeon' - Ian Livingstone
Looking at the rest of the books on display here, I'm left thinking that this isn't just a 'Forgotten Shelf' but also very much a 'Shelf of Shame' at the same time. It's full of books that I got really excited about, picked up and then, promptly forgot about. I'm trying to tidy up my shelves, at the moment, so maybe I'll finally pick up a couple for a read (it's definitely the right time of year to read 'Ghoul' again). It's just as likely though that I'll completely forget until the next time I'm at my desk and spot a book out of the corner of my eye... I'm not going to make any promises then ;o)
How about you? Do you have a 'Forgotten Shelf' or 'Shelf of Shame'? This is a safe space, no judgment here ;o) And for those of you with e-readers, what's the electronic equivalent?

Most of these books were unpacked straight onto this shelf and haven't been touched since, which is a shame really as they were all bought to be read. There are a couple here though that enjoyed a brief moment on this blog before ending up here. If you fancy a read, check out my reviews of,
And short stories from,
And talking of Glen Cook, this shelf is home to nearly all of my 'Black Company' books, a series that I keep meaning to re-read but, it's all on the 'Forgotten Shelf' so it hasn't happened, at least not yet.

I use Calibre to manage my ebooks and I can create virtual libraries in it. So one of my mine is the TBR virtual library. Helps keep things organized :-)
