Return of the Random TBR Pile...

When I'm reading in my comfy chair, my attention inevitably wanders to the shelves and I find myself thinking, 'ooh, I want to read that next...' or 'I haven't read that in a while'. More and more these days, I also find myself thinking, 'no more books for you until you've read those two at least...' These books find their way to the 'chair next to the comfy chair' and that's where they eventually become another random TBR Pile. It also really bugs my eldest daughter who has to deal with all the books before she can sit down in her favourite chair :o)

Anyway...

That was a bit of a roundabout way of introducing you to my latest TBR pile, thanks for sticking with it ;o) TBR piles always look good in a photo so while I'm getting some actual reading done today, why don't you take a look at what could be featuring on the blog soon(ish). The usual disclaimer applies, this is the TBR pile until something shinier catches my eye ;o)

I've got back into reading comic books, just recently, and I think I've got a good chance of working my way through all of these over the weekend. I'm familiar enough with the 'Nice House' series to have high hopes for 'The Nice House By The Sea' and 'I hate Fairyland' pretty much speaks for itself.

The two volumes of 'Something Is Killing The Children' are what I'm really looking forward to getting into though. I reckon those will be the first books that I tackle today :o)

Two books have made it across from the last TBR pile while the other two are 'new entries' :o) Of the four, I'm looking to read 'Lioness of the Parch' and 'The Atlas of Hell' first, Hopefully, the bookmarks weren't too much of a spoiler ;o) 'The Atlas of Hell' is looking very intriguing at the moment (and I have good feelings about the rest of the book). 'Blade Runner' is very much a 'ooh, haven't read that recently...' kind of book, one that might just end up coming to work in my bag. And 'Era of Ruin'... Well, we're pretty much at the point now where it wouldn't feel like a blog post if there wasn't a copy of 'Era of Ruin' holding all the other books up ;o)  Seriously though, I really do want to get to it soon.

And that's your lot as far as TBR piles go. Now lets see how well I do with these over the weekend... Have a good one :o)

  1. I see Dick's name on Bladerunner. Did he write the movie novelization too? Or is that "Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?" with a name change?
