Trailer: 'Cold Storage' (2026)

I'm on call today and today... I got a call :o) It looks like it's all sorted now (fingers crossed) but that's why,

a) This post is a little later than normal.

b) It's another 'Trailer Post'. Hopefully now things have quietened down, I'll have a little time for reading tonight.

Anyway... I'm very partial to movies where heads explode and 'Cold Storage' looks like it will deliver on that front so... Here we are :o)

Keep an eye open for this one in 2026.

    So how does being on call work for you? In the security company I used to work for, it meant you got a little money just for being "on call" and then got our hourly pay if something happened.

      That's pretty much how it works for me, I just get a little extra if I get called out on a Saturday or Sunday (double time if its a Bank Holiday). It's not a bad way to make some extra money :o)

‘The Way Out’ & ‘Perdition’s Flame’ (Warhammer Horror, Black Library)

It’s Friday so you’d normally be looking at a post on whatever I read, on the bus to/from work, yesterday. Not today though… I had a touch of insomnia followed by a day in the office so while I had a book in my bag (I always have a book in my bag…), I was in no state to actually read it. Luckily, I had a couple of Black Library audiobooks on my phone so I listened to them instead. As a rule, I don’t tend to do too well with audiobooks that are hours long and just a narrator narrating. ‘The Pan Book of Horror Stories’ – Herbert Van Thal (Pan Macmillan)

I was going to say that original posting will resume tomorrow but the way things are right now, probably safer not to promise anything ;o) In the meantime... I found this old review last night (originally posted Here ) and it feels like it fits in with what this blog is all about right now so, I thought I'd give it another shot here. I’m pretty sure this wouldn’t be the case today but when I was a child at primary school, the shelves were covered with books that I’m sure a teacher today wouldn’t let an eight or nine year old anywhere near. Maybe it was just my school, I don’t know, but I’m not complaining though; I had a lot of fun trawling my way through some great reads. This time round, I’m talking specifically about the ‘Pan’ and ‘Fontana’ horror series; books with the most lurid covers and stories to match inside.
