Books for the TBR Pile... 'Book Shopping!' Edition

For the first time in a long time, I had a whole weekend to myself. Just me :o) Okay, I was looking after the cat and rabbit but the cat had no use for me (until dinner time) and the rabbit was trying to sleep so, what is a Graeme to do when he has time on his hands? No... He goes shopping for books of course ;o)
As much as I miss my girls when I'm not with them, I love the whole 'guilt free' feeling of being able to browse for as long as I want and only have to worry about what I need (McDonalds, usually). And that's just what I did in the Warhammer shop, Forbidden Planet, a Waterstones and a sweet little bookshop (in Cecil Court) that I've forgotten the name of. It has a big Dalek inside the shop, along long with a whole load of old kids books and I fancied some 'Doctor Who'...
Enough of that, take a look at the pictures.

I found 'The Nightmare of Eden' and 'The Giant Robot' in Marchpane Books (that was the name!) in Cecil Court. I've posted about the TV Serials already (Here and Here) but couldn't say no to having the books as well). Things are pretty hectic here, at the moment but you know the deal with the old 'Doctor Who' Target books, they're short enough that they're more likely to feature here a lot sooner than other, thicker, books.

'The Silent King' was a Forbidden Planet purchase and I know it's 'Book IX', and I've only read 'Sea of Souls', but I really wanted to read it (and it sounds 'kind of' standalone) so here it is :o)

I originally came into town looking for some new 'Black Library' books; 'Oaths of Damnation' and 'Daemonhammer' were the ones that I settled on in the 'Warhammer' shop on Tottenham Court Road. You can see that I'm already into 'Daemonhammer' and it's pretty good so far. I'm aiming for a review this week but lets see how I actually do rather than just making rash statements. I've got a lot to do at work before I go on leave next week...

I wasn't too keen on the film but I saw this in Forbidden Planet, and will buy any comic that's fantasy based, and couldn't resist so here it is. Hopefully it's better than the film (although maybe I need to give that another go...)

And that's your lot :o) Anything here catch your eye?
