Books for the TBR Pile... 'A Week in Books' Edition

You know that feeling you get when you need a break to get over the break that you just took? Yep, I've just had the best week with my daughters but they're away with their Mum now and I think I'm going to spend today just sleeping it off. Maybe I'll read a little but it's mostly going to be sleeping :o)

Now I count myself lucky to have the daughters I do but I'm counting myself even luckier that this week just gone, they were more than happy to trail after me through assorted bookshops and charity shops (as well as Forbidden Planet). Everyone got what they wanted, here are the books that came home with me,

Regular visitors will know that I like to chat a little bit about what's in the picture; I thought I'd try something a little different today...

  • Three books were purchased while my eldest daughter was browsing for Manga, seemed like a good thing to do while we were waiting for her to finish ;o)
  • One book was a completely random charity shop purchase.
  • One book was bought while we were looking for a colouring book for my youngest daughter. She never decided on a colouring book in the end.
  • One book was purchased with money that I won on a scratch card :o)
  • One book is going to be a re-read (I'm looking forward to it)
  • One book continues on from a series that I haven't read in years.
  • It's been ages since I last went into a Games Workshop, I finally made it into one a few days ago and bought this book while I was there.
  • One book is actually three books and a few short stories.
  • One book is the latest in a line of books that I can't help but pick up.
That's about as unhelpful as I can be. Anyone care to hazard a guess on which books are which? ;o)

  1. The Warhammer one is obviously the Games workshop book. Other than that, I'm not even going to hazard a guess :-D
    Sleep sounds great!

    1. I am pleased to confirm that the sleeping was brilliant ;o) I should have made the GW purchase a little harder to guess (never mind), it was also the one that's three books in one, plus the short stories.
