A Couple of Quick 'Shelfies'

Because I'll be honest, I had a little sleep yesterday evening, an 'accidental power nap' as it were :o) I should have tried to stay awake but here we are... So todays book post will happen tomorrow and instead, here's a couple of bookshelves that I haven't shown you yet. Please excuse the quality of the photos, my eyes aren't in great shape ;o) Anyway...

I don't pay this shelf enough attention and I really should; it's a really good representation of what I'm about as far as books go. I think there are a couple of books here that have already featured on the blog (I'm looking at you 'Bethany's Sin') but there's a lot here that was unpacked, after the move, and hasn't been looked at since. Is there anything here that you'd like me to bump up the TBR Pile?


And here is the 'Fantasy Masterworks' shelf :o) There are a few other Masterworks on other shelves, like in the photo above, but this is where the bulk of them live. I used to have a lot more but had to get rid of them at a time when I was moving between places a lot. I'm trying to build up the collection again but I suspect there are some copies that I won't be able to find again. Oh well, could be worse and I've got plenty here to keep me going.
Same question as above, is there anything here that you'd like me to bump up the TBR Pile?

    I see "Promise of Blood". Have you not read the Powder Mage trilogy yet then? If not, I highly recommend that. Flintlock Fantasy at its finest.

      I have read the first three books (I think there are more?) but not for a number of years so possibly time for a re-read...

‘Deathworlder’ – Victoria Hayward (Black Library)

Before I get into the review proper, thank you Black Library for sending me a copy of ‘Deathworlder’ in return for a fair and honest review. Talking of ‘fair and honest’… There will be loads of the latter but I enjoyed the hell out of ‘Deathworlder’ so… We’ll see how being fair goes ;o) That’s your only warning, lets talk ‘Deathworlder’… Lazulai is a world beyond the brink, its battle against the tyranids all but lost. I'm still here! A quick update...

And I do mean a 'quick update'... It's been a hell of a month and my reading goals (along with any reading in general) have all gone belly up :o( I have managed to get a few audiobooks under my belt (thanks, Audible Offer!) but nothing else. I'm going to have another crack at David Wragg's 'The Hunters' over the weekend so, maybe things will change. Fingers crossed ;o) The reason for all of this was the surgery I had right at the end of last month. I really needed it and I'm glad that I finally had it done, it's going to make a real difference going forwards. They did warn me that it was going to be a painful recovery but I was all, 'oh it can't be any worse than it already is...' Gentle reader, it was a lot worse than I thought it would be... In fact... Damn that hurt... I'm definitely on the mend though so hopefully it won't be like this for much longer. Fingers crossed ;o) As you can probably guess though, its killed my reading...
