'She-Hulk, Attorney at Law' – Season 1, Episode 3: 'The People Vs. Emil Blonsky'

It was a busy one, at work today, and so what I was after this evening was something fun on the telly, something with a few laughs in it so I could decompress a little. Talk about timing... I remembered there was a new episode of 'She-Hulk' and that was me sorted; I feel a lot happier now :o)

This is going to be another short post because 'She-Hulk' episodes are pretty short aren't they ?Well, not counting the obligatory seven minutes of credits that is, although you can fast forward through these. Pretty short then but a hell of a lot of fun at the same time, let me tell you about it. There will more than likely be spoilers though so bear that in mind before you carry on. Still here? Great, lets go.

If you're really not sure what's happening, the clue is in the title this week as Emil Blonsky has his day in court along with... Wong? I love the way that all of a sudden, the MCU has suddenly decided that now there's legal representation for super powered people, there are clearly going to be consequences for all those little things that look cool on the screen but aren't entirely legal. I'm looking forward to seeing Shang-Chi being taken to court, by the L.A. Transport Dept, for wanton destruction of a bus... Or not. We've already seen that Wong's instinctive reaction (to being told he has broken the law)is to get the hell out so is the next 'Civil War' event going to be around getting super-heroes to just show up when they're summoned to court? Are we looking at super powered bounty hunters going after a bail jumping Ant-Man for example? Am I going off on a tangent? The answers are no, no and a resounding yes. Lets get back to the show...

Add a little sub-plot, with a shape changing Asgardian, and a bunch of hoodlums after 'Hulk Blood' and you've got another example of a show that doesn't take itself seriously at all but can still switch between irreverent and slightly more serious with no issues at all. More 'Hulk Blood' plot though, I think that's where things are really going to get interesting and seriously, how many more villains are inside and applying for parole? Anyway, it's all very watchable and Tatiana Masalny is She-Hulk now, no doubt about it.

And that's about it really, 'The People Vs. Emil Blonsky' is a lot of fun but it's over in a flash (in a good way, but still) and I'm left waiting for next week to see where things go next. It's nice to feel that way about a show though so well played 'She-Hulk', well played... ;o)
