Totally Unrealistic Reading Plans For This Week...
This week is meant to be about hanging out with my daughters and having some fun while their Mum is working; if I don't have something planned for every day this week (spoiler: I really don't...) then I could be in a world of trouble... That being the case then, why am I writing a post about my reading plans for the week...?
Well, natural optimism to one side (why do I never learn...?), I'm pretty excited about some of the books that I found, on the TBR Piles, and if I get half a chance then I'm going to be into them. How many of them will be finished by the end of the week? I'll tell you in a week ;o) In the meantime, lets see what's what,
The Main Reads...
It has been ages since I've read a zombie book so I thought I'd do something about that by getting into 'Last Resort', it's looking promising so far and is the main read for the week :o) If by any chance I finish that, it will be onto 'The Jewel in the Skull'. I didn't think I had a copy but what do I know? I've been thinking about a 'Hawkmoon' re-read and that may start this week...
The Comic Books...
I'll be honest, you're more likely to see these reviewed this week as I'll be picking them up as and when I need a break from the books above. And that's it really, sometimes the books chose themselves and there's not a lot more that you can say ;o)
The Stand-by Books...
Just in case I finish the 'Main Reads', stranger things have happened you know ;o) The 'Scorpion' books have let me in the mood for another (hopefully better) creature feature and that just so happens to be Matt Shaw's 'Infestation'. And 'The Children of Hurin' pretty much speaks for itself, a chance to read one of the better stories in 'The Silmarillion' without having to go through the whole bloody book (large chunks of which I do not get on with at all).
And that is that, lets see how I do with this 'mini TBR pile'... ;o)
