What I'm Reading And What I Want To Read...

It hasn't been a bad week but I'm really glad I've got a day, to myself, where the only solid plan I have is to sit in the comfy chair and read a book or two. Everything else is optional ;o) I'm coming out the other side of a bout of Warhammer 40K and 'Horus Heresy' reading so while I'm finishing a few bits off, it's time for my reading to head in a slightly different direction for a bit. Let me show you what's what... First things first, here's what I'll be trying to finish off today,

I'm also reading 'Horus Heresy' instalment, 'Galaxy In Flames' but the spine proved to be very uncooperative, when faced with a camera, so... Here we are ;o) To be honest, 'Galaxy In Flames' is more than likely going to be a 'commuter read', later on in the week, so today, I'll be working my way through the rest of 'Ashes of the Imperium'. Look at the size of the book, there's no way I'd be taking it on the bus... ;o)
And Volume 3 of 'Something is Killing the Children'... I'm trying to finish more of my unread comic books, at the moment, and seeing as I thoroughly enjoyed the first two volumes, Volume 3 was a fairly easy choice, I'll definitely finish it today :o)

And here are the books that I'd like to get to over the next week (more than likely longer, my reading speed has dropped a fair bit just recently, lets see).

We have 'Doctor Who' novelization 'Battlefield', a book that I'm hoping makes more sense than the TV Serial. And while I was taking 'Battlefield' off the shelf, I noticed 'Honour of the Grave' sat next to it and fancied something from the 'Old World'. I'm headed in a more 'Fantasy direction', with my reading, and 'Honour of the Grave' looks promising on that score.

'The Briar King' will be a re-read, if and when I pick it up. I've got some reservations over the series, as a whole (well, the final book anyway) but 'The Briar King' is a gorgeous read and I need some of that right now. 'The Navigators Children' is a book that I've been wanting to read for a long time but somehow never got round to picking up. I really want to finish this series so I think this will be my next 'Big Read' after 'Ashes Of The Imperium' ;o)
And after enjoying 'Old Moon Quarterly Volume 5',  'Old Moon Quarterly Volume 8' was another easy choice. This may well end up being a 'commuter read' as well, we'll see what happens

Anything here caught your eye? Leave a comment and let me know :o)
