'She-Hulk, Attorney at Law' – Season 1, Episode 2: 'Superhuman Law'

Didn't I only do one these the other day? More like the day before yesterday... That's what comes of letting things getting away from me and then having to play a little catch up. Oh well, that's the way it goes ;o)

Having see the first episode of 'She-Hulk', I was pretty determined not to let this series slide (I promise I will get round to watching you 'Ms. Marvel', promise...) so took advantage of some free-time to watch episode 2 last night. And I will get into that but before I do... Is it time for a little mini-rant about the end credits? Why, I do believe that it is :o)

End credits are important, just to acknowledge the hard work that everyone does, but seven solid minutes of credits (I'm not forgetting the end credits scene but there's hardly any of that) after only twenty three minutes of 'She-Hulk'...? I don't know about you but I would rather have the credits run a little faster and send a few extra minutes back into 'She-Hulk'. You know, the show that everyone put so much time into? But anyway... I guess it means that the show has to be doing something right (to get that reaction from me) but even so... That's pretty much the reason why this post is going to be a short one, there's not actually an awful lot of plot to write about this week (and no, I'm not writing about the end credits).

What there is though... It's more of the same, from last week, and that means a lot to enjoy as we see Jen Walters pay the price for last week's finale but bounce back to head up her own 'Superhuman Law' department at the Firm that got her fired from her old job. The condition? She has to do it all as 'She-Hulk'. Yep, I think the story is going to follow the ol' 'be true to yourself' storyline but the saving grace could well be that Jen has to figure out what that is first, and I think that will be fun. Hulk hangs around just long enough to dish out a little advice and then he's off to... I don't know, just 'out of the way' I think. And that's cool because we get introduced to Jen's family who are on hand to dish out advice as and when (not) required. I love the fact that they're not phased at all as they already went through this with Bruce. I also love the fact that Jen's Dad is not above getting her to help with all the chores that require heavy lifting. After all, what's the point of having a hero in the family (even if Jen doesn't want to be one... yet) if you can't make use of their powers to get stuff done? ;o)

All of this doesn't leave a lot of time for Jen to take on her first case but that's actually fine as she's not on the case for long before it all comes crashing down around her. Another 'set up' episode then but one with enough wit and heart that you don't mind all that much. Seriously though, enough of the credits...
