What's that you say? A TBR Pile...?
So, 'Walking Dead Night' didn't happen last night, and I was at a bit of a loose end so you can guess what happened next... An evening spent browsing my bookshelves and making a little TBR Pile, that's what happened next :o) Reading that last sentence back does leave me feeling like I should question where my life has taken me (it certainly didn't take me out last night...) but on the other hand, I love my bookshelves :o)
Anyway...
The occasional 'TBR Post' helps me stick with what I'm reading (rather than just reading a few pages of something and getting distracted by something else) so, lets take a look at how I spent my Friday night...
Here's what I'm working my way through at the moment, you'll more than likely see posts pop up next week. 'Conan and the Living Plague' looks like it could be a bit of an improvement on 'The Emerald Lotus' and 'Alien Harvest' is... Another 'heist' story. I'm ok with that, for now, but if I end up reading 'Aliens: Genocide' again, I won't be happy. Lets see how it goes.
Going from 'What I'm Reading' to 'What I quite fancy reading this week, all being well'. I'm headed down the 'horror path' again and was thinking that I really want to read something like Guy N. Smith, and then I realised that I still have a few unread books, of his, on the shelves. 'The Camp' won out so I'll be picking it up later on next week.
And while I'm headed down the horror path, I thought I'd take a couple more books with me. I keep meaning to read 'The Babysitter Lives' so lets see if I can actually do it this time round. 'The Atlas of Hell' opened quite promisingly and now, it's several months later and I somehow never finished it. Again, lets see if I can do something about that; if not this week then the week after.
And 'Death Angel's Shadow' isn't really horror (although maybe not too far off) but it is another book that I spent ages tracking down but never actually managed to read. Is this picture really of a 'mini-TBR Pile of Good Intentioned Reads'? The evidence is there in front of me, I can't argue with it... ;o)
And last but by no means least, a small pile of books that I probably won't get to this week but caught my eye all the same. I'm just going to let this picture speak for itself ;o)
So, anything here that you'd particularly like me to pick up first? There is...? Well, leave a comment and let me know what caught your eye...

I haven't heard of a single author in your TBR pile. Well, except for Wagner, and him I've never read anything. So I don't have any opinions (for once in probably my whole life. Lucky you, right? hahahahah) on what should be next.
ReplyDeleteWe had afternoon temps of about 33-34C all week, so I was wiped at the end of each day. Ended up going to bed between 6-7pm last night :-)
Hope you have a good weekend.
Opinions and/or general commenting, it's all welcome here ;o)
DeleteI've got a bad habit of just buying books that catch my eye or that I've heard good things about, I'm just trying to make more of an effort to read them now instead of letting them gather dust. There is a lot to get through but I think I'm doing alright!
Those temps sound brutal and as someone who also doesn't do well in the heat, you have my sympathies ;o) Hope you have a good one too and the weather cools down a bit!
